Bellefontaine suffered a big emotional blow in a loss to Benjamin Logan last week, but a win over Tecumseh to start Central Buckeye Conference Kenton Trail division play Friday would be a big help in easing that disappointment.
“Every division game is extremely important,” said Bellefontaine head coach Toby Smith. “With this being our first Kenton Trail division game, it is especially important to get off to a good start in the league. We are excited about this opportunity.”
Bellefontaine (2-3) led the Raiders 21-6 at halftime, but struggled in the second half and lost 28-21. Smith said he and his staff have tweaked some things in practice in an effort to regroup.
“We made some adjustments to our practice routine to focus on becoming more sound on the ins and outs of the game,” said Smith. “That has been very successful.”
