Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department arrested a city man on drug charges after a traffic stop in the city Wednesday evening.
Steven T. McMillen, 34, of 1000 Garfield Ave., Lot 36, was charge with possession of a schedule II drug, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after the 5:45 p.m. stop.
Officers stopped McMillen while driving along Troy Road for failure to reinstate his license.
A search of the vehicle turned up a small amount of marijuana, a single oxycodone pill and paraphernalia associated with drug use, officers report.
• Samuel A.W. Varian, 37, of 437 E. Patterson Ave., was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court after a 7:45 p.m. Thursday traffic stop in the 1500 block of Eastern Avenue. He was also charged with new driving under suspension charges.
Sheriff lieutenant cited in minor crash
Logan County Sheriff’s Lt. Gregory A. Fitzpatrick, 54, of Belle Center, was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead after a minor crash at 9:42 a.m. Wednesday. Fitzpatrick was driving a privately owned vehicle.
He was westbound on west Sandsky Avenue when he struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Ricky D. Adams, 63, of DeGraff, who was stopped at the Garfield Avenue traffic light.
Damage was light and no injuries were reported.
