Calvary Christian’s girls basketball team used a big fourth-quarter effort to grab a 47-4 win over Old Dominion on Tuesday.
Dominion Academy edged Calvary Christian 10-9 in the first quarter and went on a 14-11 run in the second quarter. That put Dominion ahead 24-20 at halftime.
The battle continued into the third quarter as Dominion Academy clipped Calvary Christian 10-9. That allowed Dominion to keep a 34-29 lead. The Spartans came rallying back in the fourth quarter, though, with an 18-10 run. That allowed Calvary to take a 47-44 lead and escape with the win.
Elisha Carter led the Spartans with 26 points and Katie Thompson tallied 12 points. A complete box score was not available.
