Calvary Christian’s boys track and field team finished second out of seven teams Tuesday at the Riverside Invitational. The Spartan girls finished fifth out of eight teams.
Recording wins for the Spartan boys were Clayton Slemmons in the 800 (2:09.6) and the 1,600 (5:04.7), Andrew Reinhard in the 110 hurdles (17.5), the 1,600 relay of Blake Wenger, Tyler Reinhard, Derek King and Slemmons with a new school record of 3:45.9 and the 3,200 relay of Wenger, Joe Young, King and Slemmons (9:26.2).
Coming in second were Garrett Reinhard in the 110 hurdles (17.9), Andrew Reinhard in the 300 hurdles (47.4) and the high jump (5-4), Tyler Reinhard in the 200 with a school-record time of 23.46 and King in the 400 (55.9).
