C. Elizabeth Triplett, 100 years old, of Bellefontaine passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Campbell Place, Bellefontaine.
Elizabeth was born December 8, 1921, in Circleville, Ohio to the late H. Rockford Wiggins and Isabel (Kirkwood) Hockett. She is preceded in death by her beloved stepfather, “Pop”, Asaph W. Hockett, two brothers, Eddy R. and Hugh K. Wiggins, a great-grand son, Nicholas R. Baughman and one niece, Noreen Howell. She is also preceded in death by her husbands: Merton S. Compton, (father of her children); and H. Leroy Lynn and Everett G. Triplett.
She is survived by two children, Connie L. (Robert) Rhoades of Belle Center, Ohio and Sam (Linda) Compton of Bowling Green, Ohio; two grandchildren, Catherine E. (Steven) Oder and R. Paul Rhoades; four great-granddaughters, Lindze R. (Matthew) Trivits, Kelsey M. (Joshua) Conklin, Emily N. Baughman and Charlotte T. Rhoades; four great great-granddaughters, Adelia Louise, Leyna Rae and Wren Elizabeth Trivits and Caroline Rose Conklin and two nephews, Chuck and Dick Wiggins and two nieces, Cindy Needles and Betsy Wiggins.
Elizabeth spent 50 years working as a registered nurse in doctor’s offices in Springfield, Ohio.
She moved to Bellefontaine, Ohio in 2005 to be closer to her family after the death of her husband, Everett.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially holding her great-great granddaughters. She loved the family holidays, especially, “her Thanksgivings”, and helping with food preparations for any family meal, especially her potato salad. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Bellefontaine.
Father Shawn Landenwitch will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 316 E. Patterson Ave., Bellefontaine. Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 17, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine and again on Saturday morning, one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Bellefontaine.
