The Benjamin Logan Board of Education began discussing two different levy options during a special meeting Tuesday evening.
The board must decide how it will approach voters about a 4-mill levy that generates $1.375 million for operating expenses, which is set to expire at the end of 2019, Superintendent Dave Harmon said.
It was first approved in 1999 as a 6.25-mill emergency measure and has decreased since.
The board is considering a 10-year renewal, which would allow the district to continue to collect the set $1.375 million per year or asking voters to consider a permanent replacement measure that would generate additional money for the district, Harmon said.
No vote was taken at the special meeting. The issue likely will be considered at the 7 p.m. Monday meeting.
