The prestigious State Seal of Biliteracy (SSB) has been awarded to three exceptional seniors at Benjamin Logan High School — Kyndal Cronkleton, Madelyn Harmon and Graham Studebaker.
These students have demonstrated exceptional proficiency in the Spanish
language as well as in English, showcasing their dedication to linguistic and cultural diversity.
The State Seal of Biliteracy is a symbol of academic excellence and
a testament to the hard work and dedication of these students. It recognizes their ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages, an essential skill in our interconnected world.
This achievement opens up a world of opportunities for Kyndal, Madelyn and Graham. Not only does it encourage fluency in the Spanish language, but it also helps colleges and universities identify bilingual students, potentially leading to credit awards.
Additionally, earning the State Seal of Biliteracy can boost job opportunities and salaries in various fields, showing support for language diversity and strengthening community relationships.
Furthermore, this accomplishment motivates English learners to improve their proficiency and acknowledges the value of home languages and cultures.
“Kyndal, Madelyn and Graham have demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill in mastering languages,” Principal Annette Alatorre said. “Their achievement reflects BLHS’s commitment to promoting linguistic diversity and academic excellence.”
