Benjamin Logan High School students participate in scholarship application workshops hosted this week by the guidance department, which will continue with another session from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, in the school library. College-bound seniors may sign up to get an overview of the local scholarship process. Students are advised to use the Guidance Newsletter to find scholarships that are available to complete online, as well as those to complete paper copies. Relating to applications, guidance counselors encourage students to be sure to sign and obtain any required signatures before submitting, as some applications request teacher or parent signatures. Applications should be turned into Rose Overturf on or before 8:30 a.m. of the published deadline so that she can attach a transcript and give it to Nicole Fuller for the final steps, including GPA, class rank and ACT scores.
