Benjamin Logan High School students Pamela Kelly, Collin Stewart and Sarah VanDyke have qualified to compete at the Ohio Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference in March following their performances at the Business Professionals of America Workplace Skills Assessment Program.
Collin Stewart placed third in Personal Financial Management and fifth in Fundamental Accounting. Pamela Kelly received seventh place in Banking and Finance
Sarah VanDyke and Baylie LeVan placed second in Small Business Management Team. Jordan Sexstone also received third place in Presentation Management Individual
Sarah VanDyke is also one of ten BPA members in the state of Ohio who will interview for the BPA Ohio Association scholarship opportunity.
The regional program allowed students to demonstrate occupational competencies, broaden their business skills, and expand their leadership skills. Seven BLHS BPA members competed against 400 students in various contests from the following schools: Apollo Career Center, Graham, Indian Lake, Kenton, Marysville, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, Riverside, Tri-Star Career Compact, Upper Scioto Valley and Vantage Career Center.
