AAUW’s annual event benefits education

Perennial trivia masters Bellefontaine High School Team A had an especially successful evening at the 22nd annual American Association of University Women’s Trivia Bee, racking up 90 points in the 10-round event Wednesday and securing its sixth championship.
“It was the most points that we’d ever scored,” team member Bill Badenhop, retired BHS principal and former Bellefontaine City Schools director of administrative services, said at the conclusion of the competition featuring a total of 24 teams.

“It hit all of our strengths,” said Mark Barlow, a retired BHS American history teacher. “It seemed like for each of the categories, there was a team member who was well-versed in that topic.”
