After finishing ninth at the sectional tournament and just slipping through to the district tourney, the Chiefs delivered a fifth-place finish in the Division I district event Thursday at Beaver-Vu Lanes in Beavercreek to qualify for next week’s state tourney.
“This is just awesome,” said Bellefontaine head coach Jane Kline. “I really don’t think it has hit them yet. They were prety subdued. The last time Bellefontaine’s boys made it to state was 2005, so this is a special achievement.”
