Benjamin Logan Schools announced this week its partnership with PublicSchoolWORKS, provider of K-12 school safety and compliance programs, to introduce the “Stay Safe. Speak Up!” safety reporting mobile app.
The app is designed to empower students, families and school staff to prevent bullying and speak up about school safety concerns, including bullying, discrimination, thoughts of suicide, self-harm, and more, and continues the district’s commitment to promoting a safe school environment.
“The Stay Safe. Speak Up! Student Safety Reporting System plays a vital role in allowing the school community to communicate any student safety concerns,” said Sally Stolly, director of administrative services.
“When safety or bullying reports are submitted, key administrators are automatically notified via e-mail – or phone in the case of an emergency – to investigate and resolve reports,” Superintendent John Scheu said.
“All reports are stored in one centralized online location so Benjamin Logan Local Schools can document and investigate incidents and monitor safety trends.”
The mobile app is part of the PublicSchoolWORKS Stay Safe. Speak Up! Student Safety Reporting System, an extension of the company’s comprehensive anti-bullying and school safety program.
The program gives students, families, and staff multiple ways to report safety concerns 24/7, as well educational resources for staff, students and parents covering a variety of student bullying, safety and mental health crises, from depression and suicide to dating violence and gang awareness.
