Benjamin Logan High School entered a team into the recent robotics state qualifying tournament in Van Wert.
The team BLHS Reach, comprised of Hayden Bailey, Steven Hawes, Brent Luttmer, Chase McKinney, Ryan Spatz and Sarah Seeley, built a robot that pressed lighted beacons that would score points based on the coordination of team color to beacon color. The robot also would launch team-colored Wiffle balls (“particles”) collected from the field into a center vortex to score points.
The team finished 13th out of 32 teams.
