The Benjamin Logan Board of Education tapped Mandy France to succeed Robert Kuehnle as district treasurer during its regular meeting Monday.
Ms. France was awarded a two-year contract, effective Aug. 1, at $80,000 for 2016-17 and $82,000 for the 2017-18 school year. Additionally, she was given a one-month contract prior to the Aug. 1 contract, at the same per diem rate as the first year, and up to 10 days prior to July 1.
The new treasurer comes to the district as a resident of Ridgeway with 15 years of treasury experience, most recently at North Central Ohio Educational Service Center.
The district’s new athletic/multipurpose building account got a boost with a $30,000 donation installment from Valerie Stanley TTEE trust and a $15,000 installment from Mary Rutan Hospital. Building and grounds supervisor Dan Defibaugh also presented the occupancy permit to the board, announcing the building is complete and ready for use, beginning with a STEM program in a few days.
