Art Daniels was appointed as the new director of transportation, effective Feb. 29, and also was extended a two-year contract. He will transitioning into his new role alongside Brenda Fahle, current transportation supervisor, who has served the district since 2016 and will be resigning on June 30, 2024, for the purpose of retirement.
“We are thrilled to have Daniels on board. His expertise will contribute significantly to the success of our transportation department,” Superintendent John Scheu said.
District officials noted that Shadley brings more than 13 years of experience in education. During the 2023-24 school year, he served as the middle school principal and, prior to that, as the high/middle school assistant principal at Milton-Union Exempted Village schools.

The new director of transportation also brings a wealth of experience to his position, including an extensive background in leadership and possessing a CDL – B with airbrakes earned in the early 2000s, officials said in the press release.
“His commitment to upholding all district policies and ensuring the safety of our students reflects the highest level of integrity. Mr. Daniels is an accomplished Environmental Health and Safety Professional, demonstrating proficiency in leading practices and objectives to assess and manage risk.
