Ohio Ag Net farm broadcaster Dale Minyo and Ohio FFA Vice President Mary Buehler were the featured speakers at the annual FFA banquet at Benjamin Logan High School.

Students Adam Black, Saul Boysel, Noah Henry and Kaylene Harpest were recognized for receiving their FFA State Degrees. In addition, Hayden Ackley, Kyle Ackley, Saul Boysel and Noah Henry each will receive their American Degrees and will walk across the stage in October at the National FFA Convention.
A number of other awards were presented to students throughout the evening, including Christian Blumenschein and Landon Wenger, Star Freshman; Sarah Seeley and Marissa Miller, Star Greenhand; Kaylene Harpest, Star Junior; Erica Wilson, Star Chapter Farmer; Grace Barger, Star Chapter Agribusiness; and Jessie Griffin, DeKalb Agricultural Accomplishment.
Kaylene Harpest, Marissa Miller and Sarah Seeley were honored for receiving gold ratings for National Chapter. The top 10 sellers for fruit sales were acknowledged.
Kyle Ackley was recognized for his Dairy Production Entrepreneurship proficiency, and placed in the top four in the state.
New officers for the 2016-17 school year are: Darby Eades, president; Sarah Seeley, vice president; Adam Black, secretary; Kaylene Harpest, treasurer; Rhiannon Rhodes, reporter; Kris Ackley, sentinel; Joel Workman, student adviser; Landon Wenger, assistant secretary, student adviser; Levi Horsley, assistant vice president; Christian Blumenschein, assistant treasurer; and Abby Austin, assistant reporter.
