Bellefontaine sophomore Bruno Pattison placed eighth in a strong field of competition to provide a local highlight in the 64-team Greater Miami Valley Wrestling Association wrestling tournament Wednesday at Wright State University’s Ervin J. Nutter Center in Fairborn.
Bellefontaine and Indian Lake competed in the two-day tournament.
Along with getting Pattison on the podium, the Chiefs had two other wrestlers that made it to the second day of action.
The Lakers had three wrestlers reach the second day, but none was able to place.
Graham won the 64-team event by finishing first overall and first in the small school division with 311 points. The Falcons, who are ranked fifth in the nation, had five champions and six finalists.
