Bellefontaine’s varsity girls basketball team began Central Buckeye Conference play in winning fashion Wednesday by grabbing a 43-37 victory over host Springfield Shawnee.
The Chiefs are now 2-3 overall and 1-0 in the CBC.
Sophomore guard Aubrey Stolly scored a game-high 22 points to fuel the Bellefontaine win. Stolly knocked down six three-pointers.
Emily Mitchell contributed 11 points and Hannah Rader chipped in six points for the Chiefs.
