Barb Allen Dotson recently spotted two eagles in a tree near Islandview on the north side of Indian Lake, but one flew away before she could take the photo. The bald eagle has been the emblem of the United States since June 20, 1782, because of its long life, great strength and majestic looks and because it was native to North America. Full-grown bald eagles have a wingspan up to seven feet. (PHOTO | BARB ALLEN DOTSON)
