In what is becoming a concerning trend, Bellefontaine’s boys basketball team got off to a slow start and a second-half rally was not enough in a loss to visiting Vandalia Butler on Saturday.

Bellefontaine trailed 25-13 at halftime. The Chiefs fought back to take a brief lead early in the fourth quarter, but the Aviators pulled out a 48-44 victory in a non-league game.
The Chiefs, who fell to to Jonathan Alder in a similar fashion on Tuesday, fall to 6-5. The Aviators improve to 11-1.
“Consistency is becoming a problem,” said Bellefontaine head coach Jason Calton. “We can’t continue to come out and get ourselves in a hole. It takes a lot of energy to have to fight from behind against good teams. We have to do a better job of being locked in from the start.”
