The front door was unlocked and officers entered after announcing their presence and getting no response.
Officers found no evidence of foul play nor an apparent cause of death.

Scam victim avoids financial loss
An 88-year-old Bellefontaine woman fell for a telephone scam but fortunately did not lose any money, officers report.
The woman told officers on Monday she received a call from a man telling her she needed to schedule a service appointment for her phone line. She noted he had a thick, foreign accent and she thought it was a scam.
Even so, the caller was able to convince her that she needed to provide him with her debit card number to pay for the service.
Officers and the victim went to local bank office to check her account. There was no unauthorized use on the account and tellers were able cancel the debit card.
