Sandy June Shields, 76, of Bellefontaine, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning, Oct. 7, 2020, at her home.
She was born in Piqua, on Feb. 3, 1944, to the late Darrell Shough and Lena Mae Alexander. Sandy was also preceded in death by her husband and friend, Carl, and a son-in-law, Seth King.
Sandy is survived by her children, Barb (Lee Parmer) Shields, Carl Shields, Brenda (Daniel Rogan) Shields, Bonnie Shields, and Connie (Mark Collier) Shields, 10 grandchildren, Robin Parmer, Ryan Parmer, James Epps, Tyler Queen, Xavier Scherer, Brayden Sinkford, Tyrae Shields, Ronieka Lynch, Kenyon King, and Samara King, three great-grandchildren, Gaidge, Aubree, and Ava, brothers Darrell Shough, John Shough Sr. and Henry Shough; nephew, John Shough Jr.; and special friends, Blake Kenner, Jean Rogan, and Mindy Rogan-Brown.
Sandy was a loving mother. She always put her children first and was there for them her entire life. She dedicated her life to her family. She will be missed by all who love her.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Auburn Avenue Baptist Church, 216 E. Auburn Ave, Bellefontaine, with Pastor Settle W. Townson Jr. and Blake Kenner officiating.
