Abigail C. Hartloff, 19, of 3721 Logan Road, was charged Monday with having an open container of alcohol in motor vehicle and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
She was stopped in the 100 block of south Main Street around 11:50 p.m. after an officer of the Bellefontaine Police Department observed her driving 35 mph in a 25-mph zone on south Main Street.
An open bottle of cherry vodka was located in a back seat of the car and two pipes for smoking marijuana were found in an ashtray.
• Thomas A. Taylor Jr., 23, of 226 E. Auburn Ave., was charged Friday with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and cited for not using a safety belt, driving under suspension, a stop sign violation, expired registration and fictitious registration.
He was observed around 4:25 a.m. driving through a stop sign at Reservoir Road and Summit Drive and again at Reservoir and Columbus Avenue.
A traffic stop followed in the 700 block of east Columbus.
Officers detected an odor of alcohol while talking with the motorist. He refused to participate in field sobriety and breathalyzer tests.
However, when informed his prior two OVI convictions within six years opened the way for police to seek a warrant for a blood sample, he agreed to submit a breath sample. It came back at 0.14.
He was released to a sober friend.
