Driver Autumn Sexton, 21, of Kenton, and her 4-year-old passenger, Brylee Shepherd, each was transported by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital following a crash Thursday afternoon on U.S. Route 68.
Sexton sustained possible injuries, and the 4-year-old sustained non-incapacitating injuries, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies report Sexton was operating a northbound car on U.S. 68 near east Township Road 219 about 1:45 p.m. when she struck the rear of a northbound car operated by Nathan Bigham, 22, of Hilliard, that was stopped in traffic.
Bigham did not report any injuries. The drivers were wearing their seat belts, and the child was restrained in a child safety seat.
Damage to the Sexton vehicle was moderate, and it was towed from the scene. The Bigham vehicle sustained light damage.
