The 22nd annual American Association of University Women’s Trivia Night For Education is slated for Wednesday, March 20, at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, with registration forms and fees due March 12.
Participants are encouraged to arrive at the trivia bee by 6 p.m., and the welcome and introductory remarks will begin at 6:15 p.m. The competition begins promptly at 6:30 p.m., which represents a time change from a previous announcement.
Any business, organization, or individual may sponsor a team of five adults/high school students to participate in the education benefit, at a cost of $125 per team. Pizza and beverages for each registered team member are included. The team that scores the most correct answers at the end of the evening will be declared “Trivia Masters.”
Proceeds from the event will pay the camp registration fee for a Logan County girl entering seventh- or eighth-grade to attend one of two area science, technology, engineering and math camps (Camp GEMS at Ohio Northern University or Be WISE Camp at Denison University) this summer.
In addition, proceeds will sponsor a $1,000 AAUW Logan County Branch Annual Building Grant through the Logan County Education Foundation. Remaining funds will be divided between the AAUW’s Educational Foundation and the Logan County Education Foundation.
Registration forms and checks should be mailed to Kristen Braig, 9055 O’Connor’s Point, Belle Center, OH 43310. Registration questions should be directed to Braig at (937) 843-4195 or at [email protected]. Call Tammy Gump at (937) 441-9158 with other questions.
