WL-Salem dismantles Greenon
West Liberty-Salem’s football team completely dominated visiting Greenon on Friday for a 72-0 victory in Ohio Heritage Conference action.

The state-ranked Tigers (5-0, 2-0) scored eight touchdowns on offense, took two kick returns back for scores and recorded a safety.
Defensively, Cameron Miley had two interceptions and a fumble recovery and Zayne Reed had six tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.
Pirates explode past Polar Bears
Riverside’s football team got off to a hot start in the first half and never cooled off Friday as it raced past visiting Hardin Northern 54-14 in Northwest Central Conference play.

The Pirates jump to 3-2 overall and are now 2-0 in the NWCC standings as the Polar Bears fall to 1-4, 0-2.
Offensively, Riverside piled up 515 yards of total offense. The ground game took over again for the Pirates with 505 yards and saw four different running backs reach the end zone.
Gaven Anderson led the Riverside rushing attack with 172 yards and two scores on six carries. Jacobs finished with 125 rushing yards on just two carries. Long tallied 89 rushing yards and Roby had 63 rushing yards.
Defensively for Riverside, Joel Cotterman had six tackles with one for loss, Nick Hall had five tackles with two sacks, Anderson recorded five tackles and two sacks and Gavin Stallard added four tackles and a sack.
Heartbreaking homecoming loss
A first half slugfest turned into a second half shootout and four quarters of football failed to produce a victory, but in the end Indian Lake came up two yards and a point short Friday of Jonathan Alder 35-34 in overtime on homecoming night at Indian Lake High School.

The Lakers secured a potential game-tying touchdown in overtime and attempted a two-point conversion from the two-yard line that would have won the game, but Jonathan Alder’s defense deflected away an attempted pass to clinch the victory for the visiting Pioneers.
Connor Dixon and Collin Coburn combined for five touchdowns to pace an Indian Lake offense that amassed 439 yards of total offense. Quarterback Clay Jacobs threw for 258 yards, completing 17 of 29 passes in addition to the pair of TD tosses to Coburn.
Dixon rushed for 177 yards on 30 carries in addition to this three TDs. Collin Coburn caught 11 passes for 186 yards.
Struggles continue for Ridgemont
Upper Scioto Valley had no trouble finding the end zone in a 62-6 win over host Ridgemont on Friday during Northwest Central Conference play.
The Gophers remain winless at 0-5 overall and 0-2 in the NWCC, while the Rams move to 3-2, 2-0.
L.J. Jackson led the Ridgemont offense with 80 rushing yards on 11 carries and had a two-point conversion.
Ethan Mouser had a touchdown and Tyrese Patterson tallied 15 rushing yards and 27 receiving yards.
Defensively, Jackson led the Gophers with eight tackles, including one for loss. Ryan Mowers and Mouser each had seven tackles and blocked an extra-point kick.
