Bellefontaine City Council members gave their support of a local effort to trap, neuter or spay and then release stray cats in the city.
One female has already been trapped, spayed and released, Heather Hillery said, and she has plans to gather up to 12 more cats this week.

She is working with CALICO TNR out of Springfield and the non-profit His Hands Extended Sanctuary out of St. Paris.
