Having outgrown the sanctuary at Calvary Baptist Church, Calvary Christian School hosted its annual choir and band Christmas concert at the Holland Theatre Tuesday night, Dec. 13, for the second year in a row. With performances from students in 5th through 12th grades, the show included a variety of classic carols, fun standards and the oddly delightful “Santa the Barbarian and the Pirates of the North Pole.” Finally, as is tradition, they finished the evening with a moving rendition of “Night of Silence” by candlelight. “The CCS students showcased their incredible musical talent tonight,” Kirsten Fortier, music director, said. “They went above and beyond and glorified God in a manner most beautiful. As their educator, I couldn’t be more proud.” (SUSIE JARVIS PHOTO)
