Clint Ward, 48, of 8287 Indian Drive, was charged with obstructing official business and failure to comply after an incident that began as a dog complaint Monday, Nov. 21.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched about 4:20 p.m. to his address in reference to a dog running loose that had chased a neighbor into a residence. The caller stated this is an on-going issue and the dog is aggressive.
Upon arrival, officers located the dog outside of the residence at 8287 Indian Drive. The officer was unable to exit the patrol car due to the dog attempting to get to the officer.
The owner of the dog, Ward, came outside of the residence and retrieved the dog.
Officers then made contact with the defendant and attempted to identify him to issue him a warning about the dog running loose.
Ward reportedly stated he did not commit and crimes and was not going to identify himself to officers. Officers attempted to identify Ward several additional times. He then started to walk inside of his residence without identifying himself and was placed under arrest.
The defendant was transported to the Logan County Jail. Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene.
