COLUMBUS — Holli M. Osborn, 46, was sentenced to life in prison Thursday during a hearing in the Franklin County Common Pleas Court.
The sentence was handed down less than a month after a jury found her guilty of shooting her husband, Dr. Christopher Osborn, three times in the head and face in 2018.
She will have to serve a minimum of 18 years before she is eligible for parole.
Dr. Osborn was 50 when he was slain July 18, 2018, as he slept in his Dublin home. He was affiliated with several area hospitals, including Mary Rutan Hospital as a part-time doctor in the emergency room department.
The defendant was a registered nurse with ties to Logan County. Her father resided in the Quincy area at the time of the shooting and she was a resident of East Liberty when she was charged in 2019.
She reportedly called her father the night of the shooting intoxicated and told him she passed out and then awoke to find Dr. Osborn dead
