COLUMBUS — A woman accused of shooting Dr. Christopher Osborn three times in the head and face in 2018 was found guilty of two counts of murder Thursday, Oct. 6, after a Franklin County Common Pleas Court jury deliberated for more than a day.
Holli M. Osborn, 46, the wife of the late Dublin-area doctor, faces life in prison with a minimum parole eligibility after 18 years. She is currently lodged in jail awaiting a sentencing date, which has yet to be set.
The victim was 50 when he was slain July 18, 2018, as he slept in his Dublin home. He was affiliated with several area hospitals, including Mary Rutan Hospital as a part-time doctor in the emergency room department.
The defendant was a registered nurse with ties to Logan County. Her father resided in the Quincy area at the time of the shooting and her last known address was in East Liberty when she was charged in 2019.
She reportedly called her father the night of the shooting intoxicated. She told him she passed out and awoke to find her husband dead.
