Danielle D. Carpenter, 33, of West Mansfield, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash around noon on Tuesday.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating an eastbound 2003 Honda Accord on State Route 540 near Township Road 126 when she traveled off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and drove back onto the road and then off the right side again.
Her vehicle drove down an embankment and struck several trees and bushes.
Damage was heavy to the car, which was towed from the scene. Carpenter was wearing her seat belt.
Theft of catalytic converter reported
Deputies responded Sunday afternoon to 400 Lincoln Blvd., Apt. 20, on a theft report in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with Glenda Conklin, who said she came out to start her 2006 Jeep Liberty that day and found that her vehicle was “extremely loud.” Her son-in-law discovered that the catalytic converter had been cut from the vehicle.
Deputies were working to obtain surveillance footage of the area.
