For over 100 years, 4-H Clubs have been inspiring young people to develop new life skills in areas like agriculture and livestock. But that’s not all, and at the Logan County Fair Monday afternoon, the county 4-H extension staff handed out first-place awards to the young people who participated in non-livestock projects.
Sarah Dailey, the new Logan County 4-H educator, reminisced about her own roots in the organization. “This award ceremony feels special to me,” she said, “because I remember being part of this at my county all those years ago.”
More than 25 club members were recognized for their contributions in projects like scrapbooking, photography, nutrition, first aid, sports and gardening. Dailey referred to the Logan County 4-H youth as “absolutely amazing and impressive.”
