Shady Bowl Speedway is set to host its biggest racing weekend of the 2022 season.
The action got started Friday with a tune and test and car show.
The schedule continues today with a busy day of action. Pit gates open at noon as the Frazier/Parsons Designs FOMOCO Cruisers will take to the track at 1:15 p.m. to complete their rained-out feature from June 11.
After that feature is completed, the venue will be cleared ahead of the night’s regularly scheduled program.
On the card will be the Dave Nagel Excavating LLC Late Models, the Wooten Automotive and Towing of Urbana Street Stocks, the Coyote Racing Series trucks (running a 40- lap Ed Yoak Memorial) and the Frazier/Parsons/Designs FOMOCO Cruisers.
Race time begins at 6:30 p.m.
On Sunday, the Harrod Septic Solutions Compacts will be do battle in a unique challenge race.
Local dirt compact drivers have been invited to try their luck in an “Asphalt vs. Dirt” feature. The modifieds, Thunder Cars and the FOMOCO Cruisers will close out the action.
Racing will start at 4:30 p.m.
The track will again host free primitive camping.
Campers are asked to camp along the entrance lanes, and between the creek and road in front area of parking lot.
