A Bellefontaine man who refused to identify himself to officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department was taken into custody after a traffic stop Friday afternoon.
Brandon Mathews, 24, who had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court, was arrested on new charges of obstructing official business and failure to disclose personal information.
Bethany Lasseter, 21, of Newark, was stopped about 1:13 p.m. in the Wal-Mart parking lot, 2281 S. Main St.
She agreed to allow officers to search her vehicle and they reportedly located items used for crushing and snorting pills or other substances.
Ms. Lasseter was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia while Mr. Mathews was incarcerated in the Logan County Jail.
