Benjamin Logan’s baseball team jumped on top of visiting West Liberty-Salem Saturday and didn’t let up en route to a 17-0 non-league win in five innings. The Raiders remain unbeaten at 5-0 as the Tigers fall to 1-2.
Brady Burrey fired a two-hit shutout on the mound for the Raiders. He finished with seven strikeouts in picking up the win.
Austin McGowan went 2-4 with a double and two RBI, Carter Rees was 3-3 with a triple, double and five RBI and Kainan Stoner was 2-2 with an RBI to spark the BL hitting attack.
Also for the Raiders, Nolan Roose had two RBI and Trey Allen, Dominic Roose, Kade Arn and Jake McKenrick each had one RBI. For WL-Salem,Knight and Griffith each had a hit.
Both teams are back in action today. The Raiders host Urbana and the Tigers travel to Triad.

Lakers beat Anna fall to Sidney
Indian Lake’s baseball team clipped Anna 5-4 and then fell to Sidney 12-4 in a pair of games Saturday. The Lakers are now 5-1 on the season.
Against Anna, the Lakers scored three runs in the seventh inning to pull out the victory. Cayden Whitman homered and Logan Evans doubled to lead the Lakers at the plate.
Trenton Fulkerson earned the win in relief.
In the loss to Sidney, Fulkerson hit a home run and Whitman had a double to lead Indian Lake’s offense. The Lakers are back in action today at home against Northwestern.

Pirates split pair with Fairbanks
Riverside’s varsity baseball team split a doubleheader with visiting Fairbanks on Saturday. The Pirates won the first game 15-14 and Fairbanks took the second contest 9-7. Riverside is now 1-4 on the season.
In the first game, the Pirates rallied from a 10-0 deficit.
Landon Stewart led the Riverside offense by going 4-5. Simon Godwin, Kale Long and Brody Rhoads all had multiple hits to help the Pirates offense.
Zane Rose recorded the win on the mound. Bryce Schmeising and Sam King came on in relief to close out the win.
Warren Shockey and Simon Godwin led the Pirate offense with multiple hits in the second game. Riverside returns to action Tuesday at Ridgemont.

Jets down Triad
Northeastern cruised past Triad 13-3 in five innings Friday in Ohio Heritage Conference baseball action. The Cardinals are now 0-3 on the season.
The Jets jumped out with four runs in the first inning, score three in the second and four in the third for an 11-0 lead.
Triad scored all three of its runs in the fourth before the Jets put the game away with two runs in the fifth. Derek Bails had two hits and two RBI for the Cardinals.
Triad is back in action today at home against West Liberty-Salem.
