Riverside recently recognized its athletes for the winter season.
For boys basketball, John Zumberger was named the team’s most valuable player, had the highest free-throw percentage (79.7) and received a four-year varsity letter, Ethan Jackson was the most improved player and Kale Long received the hustle award and had the most rebounds (117).
Lauryn Sanford was the most valuable player for the girls basketball team. Sanford also had the highest free-throw percentage (71.8) and received a four-year varsity letter, Jade Copas was most improved, Alli Knight and Kirstin Schlumbohm received hustle awards and Olivia Perk had the most rebounds (195).
For bowling, Zander Crouch was the most valuable bowler for the boys and Rayce Yelton was most valuable for the girls. Andrew Knight was the most improved for the boys and Meghan Orr was the most improved for the girls, Crouch had the highest average (207) for the boys and Yelton had the highest average (182) for the girls.
Kaylee Williams was named the most spirited for the basketball cheer squad. Siera Barhorst was most improved and Shelby Reed received a four-year varsity letter.
