Bellefontaine’s athletic department recently recognized its winter sports athletes.
In boys basketball, Hunter Warner had the highest field goal percentage, Carter Snapp received the defense award, Kameron Smith received the team player award and Dylan Breckler earned the coach’s award.
For girls basketball, Carmen Shumaker received the defensive player award, Tayteum Vigansky had the highest free-throw percentage, Kailynn Kenner was the most valuable player, Emma Middaugh was the most improved, Lexi Robinson received the impact player award and Karys Varner received the off-the-bench award.
Lauren Easton was named most outstanding for basketball cheerleading. Alexis Buffkin was most improved, Corbin Baker was most spirited and Mackenzie Southard earned the leadership award.
For the cheer competition team, Baker was most improved, Torrie Breaston was most spirited, Southard was Best In Show and Easton received the leadership award.
Beau Salyer had the high average for boys bowling. Ryan Carman and Isaiah Henry had the high series, Landon Gibbs had the high game, Drake Argabright received the coach’s award, Gibbs received the sportsmanship award and Caleb Gonterman was most improved.
Lindsey Heminger had the high average and was named the best team player for girls bowling. Kayla Watkins had the high series, Ashley Ehmer had the high game and Macie Smith was most improved.
For swimming, Morgan Henry and Blake McDonald had the most points, Olivia Ullom and Aidan Mifsud were most improved, John Fulmer and Samantha Starkey received Heart of Chieftain awards and coach’s awards went to Sarah Starkey, Sarah Fulmer, Lucas Harrington and David Moody.
