Logan County Board of Developmental Disabilities reports that following a story that was shared in the Bellefontaine Examiner and other outlets last month highlighting the success of Emily Jenkins’ dog treat business, there has been an outpouring of support for her chasing and achieving her dreams.
The previous story detailed Jenkins earning enough money through her business to pay for her goal — to be a princess for the day during a visit to a Kentucky castle.
The local resident continues to produce the dog treats and people continue to purchase them in abundance, including one recent surprise donation.
“Emily touched the heart of one person in particular so much so that $500 was donated to Emily’s endeavors,” LCBDD officials said. “Emily and her parents were amazed and surprised by the generous donation.
“They are now looking at how to best support Emily in reaching more goals and becoming even more successful and independent. Emily not only has the support of her family, but she has won over the hearts of the LCBDD and her community.”
