With baseball in his blood, Dakota Bollinger knew his love of the game was going to help get him to play college ball some day.
That day arrived last week when the Riverside senior made his choice to attend Ohio Wesleyan University, a Division III program in Delaware.
“Dakota will fit in well at OWU,” said Riverside head baseball coach Derrick Purtee. “He wanted to stay close to home and have the opportunity to play early. OWU met that requirement. They also have a major that he wants to pursue in Sports Marketing.
“He has been invaluable to our program. He has started since day one as a freshman at first base. He moved to left field as a sophomore due to team needs and back to first base as a junior. College baseball has always been his goal and the entire program is proud of him for his achievements.”
