TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — A street shooting in Toledo has left two children injured, including a teenage boy hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Police officers responding to reports of shots fired around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday found the two wounded boys, ages 10 and 14. Both had been shot at least once, authorities said, but their names and specific details about their injuries were not disclosed.
The victims remained hospitalized Thursday, and authorities said the younger boy’s wounds were not considered life-threatening.
A motive for the shooting remains under investigation. It wasn’t immediately clear how many shooters may have been involved or what type of weapon was used.
