Indian Lake’s volleyball team picked up its first win of the season Monday, rallying for a 21-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-18 victory over host Upper Scioto Valley.
The Lakers are now 1-1 on the season.
Allix Cotterman aided the Lakers’ win by going 11-12 serving with three aces. She also was 21-22 on serves received and had 17 digs.
Shania Fruchey was 27-28 serving with 11 aces and had five kills, Kendall Cotterman was 18-22 hitting with seven kills and was 16-16 serving, Cheyenne Hill had seven digs, Allison Kinney posted five kills, Gracie Taylor had 10 kills, Callie Notestine registered 16 assists and Stephanie Alstaetter chipped in 14 assists for the Lakers.
In junior varsity action, Indian Lake won 25-9, 25-10. For the Lakers, Tori Roby had four kills and Devin Rice was 16-16 serving with 10 aces.
The Lakers are back in action Saturday at home against Fairlawn.
