The Logan County Safety Council, a program of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, recently presented the group’s annual awards to Safety Council members.
Awards are determined based on a company’s workers compensation claim rates and are traditionally presented at the Annual Awards Banquet in May. However, the banquet this year was canceled due to concerns relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Group Award is presented to the employer with the lowest incident rate in each Safety Council group. Group Awards were presented to: AGC Glass Company, Belletech Corporation, Community Health & Wellness Partners, Community Markets, Custom Staffing, Inc., Fire Safety Services, Inc., Humble Construction Co., Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, RTC Industries and Transportation Research Center.
The 100 Percent Award is issued to each employer that works the entire calendar year (2019) without an injury or illness resulting in a day away from work.
These awards were presented to: AGC Glass Company, Axis Corporation, Bellefontaine City Schools, Belletech Corporation, Benjamin Logan Schools, Community Health & Wellness Partners, Community Markets, Custom Staffing, Inc., Daido Metal USA, Inc., Fire Safety Services, Inc., Global Precision Parts, H & H Environmental, HBI Electric, Holdren Brothers, Humble Construction Co., IEG Plastics, ISS America, Inc., Logan County Metro Housing Authority, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, RTC Industries, Transportation Research Center and the Village of DeGraff.
The Achievement Award is presented to each employer that decreases its incident rate by at least 25 percent from the previous year (2018). Achievement Awards recipients were: Bellefontaine City Schools, Belletech Corporation, Fire Safety Services, Inc., Honda of America – East Liberty Plant, Logan County Commissioners, Transportation Research Center and World Class Plastics, Inc.
The Special Award is presented to each employer that accumulates at least 500,000 hours and at least six months without an injury or illness resulting in a day away from work.
This year’s Special Award winners were: AGC Glass Company, Bellefontaine City Schools, Benjamin Logan Schools, EWH Spectrum, Mobile Instrument Service & Repair, Inc., Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, RTC Industries and Transportation Research Center.
