Auto-club AAA reminds travelers of resources for travelers to utilize while finalizing travel plans.The Centers for Disease Control, as well as the U.S. Department of State official websites each will post the latest information at cdc.gov; and travel.state.gov, respectively. Anyone with additional concerns is encouraged to speak with their healthcare provider.
Additionally, the U.S. State Department and CDC are recommending that U.S. citizens, especially any travelers with underlying health conditions, should not travel by cruise ship. The CDC cites an increased risk of exposure to the virus in a cruise ship environment.
The CDC further recommends that older travelers, and anyone with a heightened risk for infection avoid all non-essential travel, such as long plane trips, and especially cruises.
