Indian Lake’s boys basketball team rallied in the second half for a 66-60 win over visiting Northwestern Friday and took second in the Central Buckeye Conference Mad River division standings.
The Lakers improve their record to 12-9 overall and finish second in the CBC Mad River at 8-2. The Warriors snap a four-game win streak and drop to 8-14, 2-8.
Northwestern started off on top 21-17 after the opening quarter and held a one-point lead (32-31) heading into halftime.
Indian Lake found its offensive rhythm in the third quarter with a 20-9 run. That vaulted the Lakers in front 51-41.
The Warriors outscored the Lakers 19-15 in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to retake the lead.
Austin Parker fueled the Lakers with 25 points, Nate Reichert tallied 15 points, Luke Jackson had 13 points and Clay Jacobs added eight points.
In junior varsity action, Northwestern edged Indian Lake 42-41.
Indian lake finishes the regular season tonight at home against Waynesfield-Goshen.
