Charles E. “Chuck” Peyton 73 of Bellefontaine, passed away Wednesday Oct. 9, 2019 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. He was born September 21, 1946 in New Albany, Indiana.
He was the son of Ralph and Delmas ‘Susie’ (Jarnigan) Peyton. Chuck retired from owning and operating his own screen printing business, as well as trucking, and cell phone sales.
He was an active member in the Bellefontaine Moose Lodge 2563 since 1978 and also Moose Legion officer of the Higher Degree. On a “lighter note” Chuck lived in a divided household as he was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan while Sandy loved the Browns.
Chuck loved his family, his Moose family and many others. He will certainly be missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife Sandy; sons James (Mary) Peyton, Greg (Kerri) Peyton; step daughters Patti (John) Cupp, Amy (Mike) Lump, Kim (Jim) Cooper; brother Hugh ‘Ed’ (Sheila) Sermon; sister Linda (Michael) Allen; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Bob Sermon, sister Sandy Avila, brother Robert Sermon.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon Monday October 14, at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home & Crematory 5591 S. U.S. Route 68 West Liberty, 43357.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., as well as Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Harper Cemetery.
