Nine students enrolled in the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Multimedia Marketing program will advance to the BPA State Leadership Conference in March after competing at the regional competition in January.
Those advancing in the competition include Ethan Edwards (Urbana), Shawn Stump (Urbana), Trevor Vanhoose (Indian Lake), and Trent Devine (Indian Lake), who placed first in Video Production; Ondrea Bryant (Benjamin Logan) first place in Prepared Speech; Kiarra Coats (Benjamin Logan) first place in Presentation and Management; and Mallory Case (North Union), Oliva Thallman (Marysville) and Cambryia Elkins (Bellefontaine), first place in Global Marketing.
The chapter had 25 students compete against more than 1,000 students in the BPA Regional Competition in various category events including Finance, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Digital Communication & Design, and Management, Marketing, and Communication.
The following students also placed with top honors: Hannah Louck (Urbana) and Alexis Garver (Graham), Video Production, second place; Hannah Burnside (Bellefontaine), Jaylen Huston (West Libety-Salem), Video Production, third; Hannah Louck, Prepared Speech, fifth; Trevor VanHoose, Digital Media Production, second; Mason Stevenson (Bellefontaine), Digital Media Production, fifth; Shaina Huffman (Urbana), Graphic Design and Promotion, second; Mallory Case, Digital Publishing, second; Ethan Edwards, PC Servicing and Troubleshooting, fourth; Alyssa Miller (Marysville), Entrepreneurship, second; Madison Kiefer (Bellefontaine), Entrepreneurship, third; Gavin Wynn (Benjamin Logan), Entrepreneurship, sixth; Abigale Bailey (Bellefontaine), Keondre Johnson (Bellefontaine), Madison Kiefer, Broadcast News Team, fourth.
In addition, OHP Graham satellite students Roegan Hines and Aislen Setty also will advance to the BPA State Leadership Conference after placing first in PC Servicing & Troubleshooting and Graphic Design Promotion, respectfully.
