Officers of the Russells Point Police Department arrested four individuals Thursday after they were dispatched to the area of 400 Lincoln Boulevard in reference to a fight involving two males and a female.
When officers arrived on scene, they heard yelling coming from Point Place Apartments, 600 Lincoln Blvd, and found that Wendell Hurless, 27; Joshua Sloas, 25; and William Barnett, 51; were outside of their apartment residences arguing.
Sloas and Barnett were visibly intoxicated, slurring their speech and unsteady on their feet, officers said.
Hurless and Barnett both refused to cooperate with officers and continued causing a disturbance and alarm to other residents by yelling and screaming profanity. After multiple warnings to desist were ignored, both were placed under arrest.
Sloas also was intoxicated to the point of being incapable for caring for himself and was placed under arrest.
Further investigation indicated the incident began when Tasha Hurless 31, assaulted her mother, officers said. The mother had a noticeable injury to her forehead, but refused treatment from Indian Lake EMS.
Mr. Hurless reportedly tried to break up the fight between his mother and sister when Ms. Hurless’ boyfriend, Sloas, became involved in the scuffle. At some point, Barnett also became involved and the fight spilled out near the parking lot.
As a result of the incident, Ms. Hurless was charged with domestic violence, resisting arrest and public intoxication. Mr. Hurless and Barnett each were charged with persistent disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and Sloas was charged with public intoxication.
At the Logan County Jail, Mr. Hurless and Barnett were eventually each placed in restraint chairs.
