Indian Lake educators are slated for their largest pay increases in about seven years following action taken Monday in a regular board of education meeting.
A three-year contract was approved between the board and Indian Lake Education Association that calls for 2.5 percent raises in 2019 and 2020, and a 2.75 percent raise in 2021.
Superintendent Rob Underwood said staff have accepted 1 percent raises in each of the last three years, and before that, went three consecutive years with no cost-of-living increases whatsoever.
Benefits, including insurance, are largely unchanged within the agreement, the superintendent said. The contract expires in June 2021.
A new curriculum director was approved. Kelli Tebbe fills a vacancy left by Kyle Wagner, who has assumed the role of high school principal since Mr. Underwood became superintendent.
Tebbe most recently worked at the Auglaize County Educational Service Center. In her new role as curriculum director, she will also spearhead the district’s talented and gifted programs, according to discussion during the meeting.
