Three people were from flown by MedFlight helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus for treatment of incapacitating injuries sustained in a crash Tuesday morning on State Route 47.
Drivers Amber L. Moore, 18, of West Mansfield, and Sarah L. Peeples, 22, of Rushsylvania, each was flown to the Columbus hospital after the 11:30 a.m. crash, along with a passenger in the Peeples vehicle, Tyler N. Sampson, 22, of Rushsylvania.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report Moore was operating a westbound car on S.R. 47 near County Road 9 when she traveled left of center and struck an eastbound car operated by Peeples.
Deputies report Peeples and Sampson were not wearing their seat belts. Moore, who was cited for driving left of center, reportedly was wearing her seat belt.
Damage was heavy to the two vehicles, which were towed from the scene.
• Deputies are investigating a hit-skip crash that occurred about 3:45 p.m. Friday on State Route 235 at U.S. Route 33.
Deputies report Ashley Knight, 24, of Huntsville, was operating a southbound sport utility vehicle at the intersection and slowed to make an eastbound turn. Her SUV was struck from behind by a pickup.
She reported the pickup then backed up and drove around her and drove eastbound on U.S. 33.
Knight did not report any injuries. Damage to her vehicle was light.
